General Info

If you’re craving comforting Chinese food in Carson, Rice Kitchen is one of those spots that feels both reliable and satisfying the moment you walk in. The location is easy to find, and with convenient parking available, getting in and out is hassle-free-even during busier hours.

The menu is packed with familiar favorites, but what stands out is how consistently flavorful everything is. The Orange Chicken is a clear highlight-crispy, slightly tangy, and just sweet enough without being overwhelming. Pair that with their Chicken Fried Rice, and you’ve got a combo that hits all the right notes. If you’re in the mood for something with a bit more kick, the 3 Flavored Kung Pao or Kung Pao Shrimp brings a nice balance of spice and texture.

What I appreciated most during my visit was the variety. You can easily mix and match dishes like Chow Mein, Fried Rice, and Garlic Spinach BBQ Pork to create a meal that feels both hearty and well-rounded. Even the smaller items deserve attention. The Fried Dumplings are crisp on the outside with a savory filling, while the Egg Drop Soup and Egg Flower Soup offer a lighter, comforting contrast to the richer dishes.

Beyond the food, the overall dining experience is smooth and welcoming. The space includes wheelchair accessible seating, which makes it inclusive for different guests. Payments are straightforward too, with both debit cards and credit cards accepted. It’s also a good spot for families-definitely good for kids thanks to the approachable menu and casual atmosphere.

From a reviewer’s perspective, what makes this place stand out isn’t just the food-it’s the consistency and ease. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch or picking up dinner, Rice Kitchen delivers a dependable experience. Reviews often mention the generous portions, and I’d agree-you definitely get good value for what you order.

All in all, it’s the kind of neighborhood restaurant that keeps things simple but does them well. The menu offers enough variety to keep you coming back, and the location makes it an easy go-to when you’re in Carson.

What customers say?

“ Great food great service the man who made my food who I assume was the owner was so nice I've been looking for my favorite dish which is Singapore Mei Fun and I've called every Chinese restaurant in Carson and everyone tells me they don’t make it or they have some fat noodle that they call rice noodles, but this man knew exactly what I wanted and made the best dish that I’ve ever had in my life. This is my new place. I love this place and I love the food and the great service and the great prices. also, it was the first Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to with a Christmas tree, which was cool Thank you and God bless. ”

“ MARCH 6 2024 Got my usual orders, still all very flavorful! I love that they never forget to give the plain rice that comes with my order, even though I also buy fried rice. A lot of to go places conveniently forgets to include that. I added one more picture to show my order for today. Aug 26 2023 I bought 1. Combination fried rice 2. Sweet & sour chicken 3. Combination Chow fun 4. Moo goo gai pan 5. 3 flavored Kung Pao 6. Sesame balls 7. 1 wor (wonton) soup amounted to about $83 total with tax. I now try to minimize buying to go food or dining at a restaurant to curb my family's expenses, but I like coming back to Rice Kitchen because they have generous servings that I am able to portion out the leftovers & turn it into meals for the following days. We are a family of 2. For this order, I got: -2 meals for dinner tonight & 10 sesame balls -8 portioned meals from leftovers -2 containers of won soup leftover (these + a toast or a cheese quesadilla will make us probably 2-3 meals) -About 2 more meals of extra rice & Three Flavored Kung Pao. Total: 14 meals $83÷13 meals = $5.92 Cooking our own food is the most cost-effective, but buying from Rice Kitchen from time to time is reasonable for me. It's splurging without breaking the bank. Aside from the cost, I like the taste of the food here of course that's why I keep coming back=) July 15 2023 Happy to announce that they still have an A rating. Also, I love that they did not go with the trend of adding suggested tip on To Go orders like other restaurants. Those that do that should be boycotted. July 28, 2022 review Today I bought combination chow fun, moo go gai pan & mongolian three delight. Everything taste good and fresh! Being new to the area, my spouse & I tried Rice Kitchen take out yesterday. We got combination fried rice, moo goo gai pan & beef chow fun. They have a An rating which made me comfortable buying from them. The lady who took our order was very accommodating. The food was tasty and although the food containers were the same size as other restaurants, Rice Kitchen fills them up as much as it would take. I appreciate this because money does not come from a tree and it can get expensive buying restaurant food nowadays. I will definitely be a repear customer and taste all of the food on their menu. To the owner, to cut cost, maybe you can provide plastic food & spoon, fortune cookies and condiments when customers ask for it? Maybe put a sign in your restaurant to let customers know this. The cost you cut on this can used to cover providing bigger portions. Most of the time when it's to go, these condiments, plastic utensils and fortune cookies only get tossed anyway. ”

“ This hidden gem food was delicious. I've lived in Carson all my life & mad that I never ate here. We had the beef fried rice, orange chicken, chicken chop suey, and dumplings. It's been a long time that I had good food like this. If you are in the area please try it. Best for take out not for dinning in. ”
